I'm gonna miss so many things about my brother. Because of the pandemic, I can't remember the last time I saw him in person. It may have been our family Christmas in January 2020. We were supposed to go to a St. Louis Blues game on March 15, but the game was cancelled. Our whole family was being so careful to avoid COVID, but Daryll kept in touch with all of us. I am gonna miss his almost weekly calls saying "this is your brother Daryll." In the age of cell phones, I always knew it was him calling. Life changes in a moment.
My deepest Sympathy to Debbie, Holly, Luke, Lonna, Roxanne, Jeff, Marina, Dubbie, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Daryl had a heart of gold, and will be missed. God be with you all.
To the Family of Daryll: I knew Daryll through the Blacksmith Shop at the Historical Society. He had just recruited me into the IVBA two weeks ago, knowing that I didn't know anything about blacksmithing. And the main reason I joined was Daryll and his stories at the "coffee hour" in the back. He always had some kind of tale to pass on to those in attendance, his story was always the best. The "Candle" I chose, reminded me of something he might have made: "Leaves and Beauty"
He will be missed by all that knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time. Jeff
Daryll, you were always kind to me and everyone else. You were funny, and you had one of the greatest smiles. You truly cared about others, and you never met a stranger. You included everyone. I loved talking to you. You always made me laugh. I am so grateful that you were a part of my life. You didn’t deserve to die this way. No one does. It’s so hard to say goodbye to you because you were so awesome. I will carry the love I have for you in my heart as long as I live. You will not be forgotten. You are loved by so many. Mine is only one of the hearts breaking from the loss of your life. I know we will continue to love and support each other, and do everything we can to honor your memory. Goodbye, Daryll. I love you, and I miss you already.
In Loving Memory
