Our condolences to Wendell's family. I grew up knowing Wendell as his family was our close neighbor on the farm. He was a friend to all of my brothers and sisters. I remember him singing at most of the weddings and funerals I attended and I thought he was the best singer ever. We enjoyed talking for awhile at the local band concerts the last few years mostly about his family or mine or farming. We will miss him.

My thoughts and prayers to the Wendell Armour family… I have so much respect for the family and will always remember the warm welcome I received when moving to Carlinville. The joys from first working with the Armour’s in the 4-H program to the fond relationships with Wendell and family while tenured at Prairie Farms were priceless moments. Rest in heaven Wendell.

I am so sorry for your loss. Although I really didn't know him, I remember his voice. He was going to sing for our senior (class of 1974) Christmas program so I was really able to listen to him sing. Unfortunately, the concert was cancelled due to snow but his voice has remained in my memories all these years. Wendy - I'm so sorry.
