Condolences
Our condolences to Wendell's family. I grew up knowing Wendell as his family was our close neighbor on the farm. He was a friend to all of my brothers and sisters. I remember him singing at most of the weddings and funerals I attended and I thought he was the best singer ever. We enjoyed talking for awhile at the local band concerts the last few years mostly about his family or mine or farming. We will miss him.
Geneva and family, So sorry for your loss. He had a unique voice and it was a special treat to hear him sing at church. He will be greatly missed by all the people he touched over his life time. May he rest in peace. John and Cyndee Goodwin
Our condolences to the Armour Family. As growing up I fondly remember them at our parents house for card club & we got to wait the tables. They all seem to enjoy themselves. So sorry for your loss
Keeping Wendell and his family in our hearts this week and weekend, as he is lay to rest. We are so sorry for your loss. And, while mere words could never do him justice, what a beautiful, warm, touching remembrance is Wendell's obituary. Thank you for sharing that loving glimpse into his life.
Thoughts and prayers to you and the family for your great loss. I am so blessed that I got to meet you two and become friends. He lived life to the fullest and a joke was always around the corner.
My thoughts and prayers to the Wendell Armour family… I have so much respect for the family and will always remember the warm welcome I received when moving to Carlinville. The joys from first working with the Armour’s in the 4-H program to the fond relationships with Wendell and family while tenured at Prairie Farms were priceless moments. Rest in heaven Wendell.
So sorry for your loss but always have your memories of him in your hearts. When Bill and I would visit your church I always thought it was a special treat to hear him sing. He will be greatly missed by all the people he touched over his life time. May he rest in peace.
What a great role model and a life well lived. I always enjoyed sharing a joke with him. It was a privilege to know him.
Geneva, Gail, Wendy, Gina, Greg, Todd, and all of your wonderful children – I know Wendell will be with you always, bringing smiles and many happy memories. What a wonderful man. Thinking of you all.
Geneva, my deepest condolences to you and all who loved this "bigger than life" guy. All my memories of him come with that big grin and sunny personality that always accompanied him. Rog and I truly loved you guys and I am positive he and Roger will be singing sweet tunes in Heaven. Big hugs, Vicki D.
I am so sorry for your loss. Although I really didn't know him, I remember his voice. He was going to sing for our senior (class of 1974) Christmas program so I was really able to listen to him sing. Unfortunately, the concert was cancelled due to snow but his voice has remained in my memories all these years. Wendy - I'm so sorry.
