Condolences
Im just finding out..R.I.P Greg such a Great Person.
Gregg was one of my favorite people I have ever met and I looked up to him. He hired me on the spot in an interview when I was 20 years old and he was President of Shipment Bank. I viewed him as a distant mentor throughout my career and always looked forward to seeing/bumping into him. As many have already rightly stated he was gracious, witty, and genuine. The world will miss him as he made everyone around him better. Deepest sympathies to his family. Justin Burk
I knew Gregg from Carlinville High School, he always had a smile on his face. May your family have great memories. David and Beverly (Harms) Bruce
I thought the world of Gregg. I highly respected him as a professional and enjoyed his company as a friend. I began working with him before I officially started with The Simmons Firm in 2003 and found him to be incredibly gracious. Although Gregg was all business when it came to business, he had sharp wit and an incredible sense of humor. He could also be quite the prankster. One of my favorite memories was from several years ago when he called me from the Denim & Diamonds fund raiser for the Simmons Cancer Center to tell me that my wife, Valerie (who was attending without me), had just bought a dog. He waited for me to freak out before telling me he was just kidding. I don’t know how he knew this would get me, but he really got me. I’ll sincerely miss him! Prayers and deepest condolences for the family.
Dear Graci and Boys, Marilyn, Dave and Deb ..... We are so sorry to hear of Gregg's passing. Too young ... too soon .... and we've lost another one of the good guys. We are thinking of you today and in the days ahead.

Although I had only known Gregg a short time thru business efforts, we formed a warm friendship that is unusual for such short time, and in the business environment.
To me my encounter illustrated the warmth and values that Gregg possesses.
My deepest sympathies to family friends of Gregg, and remember the blessing of having such a person in your life.
My most sincere condolences to the Kirkland family. I had the pleasure of working with Gregg several years ago, and I was impressed by the strength of his character, his deep-seated sense of ethics, and his passion for life (especially golf and baseball). He will be sorely missed.

Shocked and sadden at your loss. I have only known Greg for a short time but became immediate friends from day one. My prays are with his family. He was a very special man.
My deepest condolences to the Kirkland Family. Gregg was a brilliant, warm, generous person. I honestly don't think that I would be where I am today without his leadership and support. My thoughts are with you in this difficult time. May his memory be a blessing.
Sorry for your loss, our prayers are with you.
So very sorry to learn of this. Our hearts go out to the family-- Graci and boys, Marilyn, Dave and Deb. Words can't express the sorrow we feel for you all at this time.
Our deepest sympathies to the family. Gregg was in school with me, Kevin Naugle (one year older) but we had good times together. We will be praying for God's peace and comfort during this time.
Gregg was a friend I could count on. He always had my back. Friends like Gregg are to be cherished and I was blessed to know him. May his memory be eternal and his soul rest in peace. Ted Gianaris
Deepest condolences to the Kirkland family! I met Gregg while working at Simmons law firm. Although I was support staff, he always took the time to stop, say hello and ask how I was. We had a common bond in that we both grew up on a farm. He was one of the few at the firm that truly appreciated those who worked hard, put in long hours and dedicated themselves to their job. Rest in peace good man!
To the Kirkland family: So Sorry to hear of the passing of Gregg.......Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.......
So glad I was able to catch up with Greg at our 40th class reunion last summer. I can remember my first ever mini-bike ride on a little Honda at the farm when we were 5-6th graders. Many memories of little league baseball and how hard Greg tried to run with his head back and helmet brim up but never quite got up to speed. It is where the nickname Turtle originated. So sorry for this sudden and way to early loss. May the Lord be near to all who mourn. (John Karrick)
My deepest condolences to Gregg's family. I met Gregg as his lawyer in a discrete matter, but I felt like we became fast friends, and we stayed in touch over email and text in the years that followed, talking about baseball and his beloved Cardinals and my White Sox. Gregg was a truly kind, generous, and effervescent person, and I so much enjoyed the time I was able to spend with him. I am so saddened by his passing, and my thoughts are with his family and close friends.
Gregg and I went to school together, played football together, had some good times together. I had not seen Gregg for many years and his passing comes as a great shock to me and my wife's family as well. our prayers are with you in this time of loss and grief.

My condolences to Graci, the boys, Marilyn, and Dave - we lost one of the good guys. Gregg and I grew up together and went to school together as well as being college roommates. We were in each other's weddings and Marti and I had some fun times with Gregg and Graci. Though our visits were infrequent through the years, he stopped by our house a few months ago - a short talk we will always cherish. Gregg is a kind and generous soul. We will miss him dearly. Rest in peace our friend.
I only knew Gregg through Louie because Louie has known and helped the Kirkland’s farm for years. I do know he was kind, soft spoken and very friendly. I am sure Louie could tell some wonderful stories about Dave and Gregg because he use to babysit them back when the boys were little. We our so saddened by this terrible loss and our prayers are with Graci, the boys, Marilyn and Dave and his family.
I met Gregg when I started working at Simmons Law Firm about 13 years ago. He was such a personable, kind man, always had a smile on his face and a friendly hello. I was fortunate to see him a couple of years ago when he was back at the firm do consulting work and was able to chat with him for a short time. Truly a great guy and one of a kind! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this very difficult time. You'll be missed, Gregg Kirkland!
I met Gregg in 2002 when we both started at the Simmons Law Firm. Gregg was one of the nicest, most compassionate person I had every met. He was always there to help you out in anyway he could with a smile on his face and do what was needed. My heart breaks for his family and although there are no words to console Graci or his family, please know I have been praying for peace and comfort to you all at this time and will continue to pray for you all. You will be truly missed Gregg Kirkland, you were one of a kind.
Gregg II: So sorry to learn of your dad's passing. In trying times, I find comfort in Psalm 23:4, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." Thoughts and Prayers, Shaun Priest Family
We are so sorry. Thinking of you all.
