Shirley Woneta Clevenger, 84, of Raymond, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. Shirley was born on July 26, 1935 to White and Dorothy (Barnett) Van Huss in Edinburg, IL. She married Donald L. Clevenger on November 23, 1951 in Carlinville and they later divorced. Donald passed away on September 26, 1989. Shirley was the owner of CandS Food Mart in Raymond. She was a member of Grace Southern Baptist Church and enjoyed collecting dolls. Shirley is survived by three sons, Steve (Laura) Clevenger of Girard, IL, Kenneth (Shirley) Clevenger of Leland, IL, and Mark (Joyce) Clevenger of Raymond, IL; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Paul (Ginny) Van Huss of Aurora, IL; sister, Irene Kuntzman of Virden, IL, as well as several nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters. Private family graveside services were held in Virden Cemetery, Saturday, May 23, 2020 with Pastor Terry Link officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Girard Food Pantry.
