Obituary of Carol Ann Clevenger

Carol Ann Clevenger, 67, of Godfrey, Il, formerly of Medora, IL, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Bria of Godfrey in Godfrey, IL. Carol was born August 2, 1957, in Prairie Du Chien, WS, a daughter of Cecil and Betty Stroud. Carol graduated from Jacksonville Schools. She married Gary in Chesterfield, IL. She was a lifelong homemaker taking care of those she loved. Carol was also a member of Fayette Baptist Church. She loved animals and always had pet dogs throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren often babysitting them. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gary G. Clevenger, sister, Betty Rose, and brother, Gordon Rose. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will follow in Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Carlinville, IL. Carol is survived by her daughter, Flonnie Nizinski of Cottage Hills, IL, daughter, Hope Clevenger of Carlinville, IL, granddaughter, Piper Nichol, granddaughter, Stellalynn Nichole, grandson, Draxon Alexander, brother, Vern (Carol) Rose of Chesterfield, IL, brother, Carl (Liz) Hart of Springfield, IL, as well as several nieces and nephews.
