Q: What did Betty like to do in their free time?
A: In her free time she loved spending time with the grandkids and great grandkids and us girls. She loved the outdoors. we used to go on walks and hikes at state parks and recreational parks and lakes. When we were younger we used to go to the rodeo every yea. We would go camping and watch the rodeo and they had all kinds of music festivals and it was a lot of fun. We didn't camp in a tent my step dad Jerry had a camper but it was so camping and we still have fun. Although there was a lake my mom really didn't care much for the water. For some reason she was always afraid of water I think I'm not sure why she never shared that with us. I was hoping one day that her and I and my sister and our girls and grandkids would be able to go to the rodeo just one time so we could all experience it together as we did when we were kids. It used to be so much fun we look forward to it every year. My mom also loved dancing she knew how to do all kinds of country line dancing. She taught me how to do The Bob and the mashed potato and the twist and several different country line dances we always had fun doing them all of us it was a family thing. She loved listening to music especially Elvis Presley Vince Gill Alan Jackson Conway Twitty and Dan seals those were her favorite oh also Buddy Holly Patsy Cline Kitty Wells she Loved you music so much. Every time I would come to visit we play music and just laugh and have a good time and keep her up all night on my first night there watching movies. I'm going to miss her smile and her laugh and her wrapping her arms around me as soon as I walk through that front door she was just excited to see me as I was her every time. And every time I left we both cried our eyes out and I won't ever forget that. She had so much love to give and she gave it all of her grandkids great grandbabies and her girls. She was a grandma to everybody she used to babysit the neighborhood kids my friends little sisters and brothers her grandkids several kids. I could go on forever talking about her and everything good about her she was kind compassionate loving caring sympathetic empathetic loyal hard-working trusting very family-oriented and dedicated. She loved Jesus and still does very strong faith in the Lord she gave herself to Christ several years ago and has walked faithfully with him ever since. I love you so much Mom and now you are going to be pain-free worry-free and up in heaven with Jesus and Grandma and Grandpa and many others and I know you're going to be smiling down on us as we're smiling up at you and you'll forever be in our hearts and with us in spirit and memory and will never be forgotten RIP: Momma ❣️
Q: What will you never forget about Betty?
A: How strong she was. I would have been scared but she fought it til the very end and I know the reason she fought so hard is for us her family we love you grandma!
Forever missed but never forgotten. I choose to you remember you like this when you were at your best ❤️
Q: What 3 words best describe Betty and why?
A: My words would have to be:
Kind
Loyal
Funny
My grandma was the most kind person you would ever meet she would give you the shirt off her back if she thought it would help you she just had such a big heart. Her house is the only place I ever felt truly at home and she always made me feel safe.
She was so loyal to her family friends and anyone she cared about you could always go to her for anything and no questions asked she would help and be there for you no matter what.
She was funny was never a boring moment with her and she always had a story to tell anything to put a smile on your face.
Our last Christmas with you my kids love you so much and I’ll make sure they remember you!
How could I ever just add one memory when you were the biggest part of my life and the person I am today. You raised me grandma. You were always there for me you always loved me through it all even if you didn’t always agree with my choices you stayed by my side no matter what so I am glad that I got to be there by your side til the very end. Words can’t describe how much I love you and how much you are already missed. I hope one day I can make you proud. Watch over us all we will meet again one day. Fly high grandma!
