Obituary of Stanley Nichols

Stanley Rees Nichols, 68 of Girard, IL, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. Stanley was born February 12, 1956, in Springfield, IL, of Don Stanley and LaVonne (Skaggs) Nichols. Stanley graduated from Girard High School with the class of 1975. He married Pat Kinne August 28, 1997, in Chatham IL. Stanley was a coal miner at Monterey Coal in Carlinville, IL. Later he drove a semi at his own company SRN Trucking for 13 years from 2000 to 2013. After that he drove for JDJ Trucking then retired in 2017-2018. Stanley was an active member of the Virden Masonic Lodge #161. He liked John Deere tractors and worked on several other tractors and even some motorcycles. Stanley was preceded in death by parents, and brother-in-law, Jay Robison. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, IL. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard IL. Burial will follow in Union Chapel Cemetery, Girard, IL. Stanley is survived by his wife, Pat Nichols of Girard, IL, sister, Renee Robison of Stuttgart, AR, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Donor's Choice in Charity.
