Arthur Thomas, 63, of Girard, IL, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Sunrise Nursing and Rehab Center in Virden, IL.
Arthur was born on March 31, 1961, to Raymond and Glenda (Gaston) Thomas in Pinckneyville, IL. He attended school at Pinckneyville High School and graduated in 1979. Arthur worked as a homemaker. On December 26, 2000, he married Joyce Dickey in Virden, IL. Arthur and Joyce lived in Girard, IL.
Arthur likes to do puzzle books, read books, taking walks, and watching movies.
Arthur is survived by his wife Joyce, daughter, Emily (fiancé Ian Estes) Thomas of Girard, IL; granddaughter, Riley Estes; grandson, Zachary Estes; two sisters, Lula Hampleman of Virden, IL, Gayla Smith of Pinckneyville, IL; brother, Chris Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024, beginning at 12:30PM at the Thayer Community Center, Thayer, IL.
Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, is in charge of the arrangements.
