Obituary of Marty Naugle

Martinez W. "Marty" Naugle, 69, of Shipman, IL, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at her residence in Shipman, IL. Marty was born on January 7, 1953 to John Robert Sr. and (Carra Lee Ward) Shaw in Norfolk, VA. She graduated from Virden High School with the class of 1972 and spent two years studying at Sanford Brown School of Business. Marty married Richard Naugle on February 10, 1997 in Medora, IL. Marty was the owner/operator of Unicorn Maid Service from 1996-2012. She also assisted with the elderly in Jerseyville from 2010-2012, working for Seniors for Homestead. Marty was Southern Baptist and enjoyed reading her Bible. She was an avid bowler and spent many hours making scrap books and sending cards to friends and family. Marty is survived by her husband, Richard "Rick" Naugle of Shipman, IL; two daughters, Tabitha Lynn (Quintin) Ainsworth of Hannibal, MO, and Yavonne (Matthew Northcutt) Johnson of Carlinville, IL; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Caudle of Creswell, OR, and a brother, John Robert (Barb) Shaw Jr. of Jacksonville, IL. Marty was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Milton Leroy Shaw Sr., as well as four sisters, Rena V. Shaw, Sally A. Walker, Patty Walden, and Lydia Jeanne Pyle. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. A memorial service will follow visitation at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Cliff Woodman officiating. Memorials are suggested to the ALS Foundation. Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville is in charge of arrangements.
