Obituary of Jeanette M. Whitler

Jeanette M. Whitler, 57 of Girard, passed away Monday morning, February 8, 2021, at her residence in Girard, IL. Jeanette was born August 29, 1963, in Vicksburg, MS, a daughter of Roy and Marie King Phillips. Jeanette graduated from Greenwood High School 1981 with the class of 1981 in Arkansas. She married Jeffrey Whitler June 19, 1999, in Thayer, IL. Jeanette worked as a Registered Nurse for the State of Arkansas at the Department of Children and Family Services. After moving to Illinois she became manager of Catherine's in Springfield where she retired from was a member of First Christian Church in Virden, she loved helping others, chatting with friends online, playing Facebook games, watching movies, reading and loved her cats. Jeanette was preceded in death by her father, Roy Phillips. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, IL. Private Family Funeral Services will be held, Friday, February 12, 2021 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard. Burial will be in Old Jenny Lind Cemetery in Greenwood, AR. Jeanette is survived by her husband, Jeffrey A. Whitler of Girard, IL, mother, Marie Phillips of Greenwood, AR, son, Joel Carman of Ft. Smith, AR, daughter, Jennifer Whitler of Girard, IL, brother, Paul (Sonya) Phillips of Oklahoma City, OK and Joel's children. Memorials may be made to APL of Springfield.
