Donald Wayne King Sr., 63 of Taylorville, formerly of Carlinville and Palmyra, Illinois passed away Friday afternoon, April 12, 2019, at his residence in Taylorville, IL.

Donald was born January 21, 1956, in Carlinville, IL, a son of Kollas and Lela Stratton King. Don attended Carlinville High School.

He married Dawn (Heinrich) in 2007 and they later divorced.

Don had worked as a diesel mechanic for Plaza Truck Service for 14 years and retired from A & B Truck Repair in 2011. He spent his spare time working and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was a member of A.B.A.T.E.

Donald was preceded in death by his father, Kollas King, Sr., and step-brothers, Tom and Don Tosh.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2019, 5:00pm to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home 2266 North 3rd Street, Girard, IL.

Donald is survived by his mother, Lela King-Tosh and her husband Joe Tosh of Girard, IL, son, Donald Thomas (Stacey) King of Palmyra, IL, daughter, Brandy L. King of Chesterfield, IL, son, Donald Wayne King, Jr. of Carlinville, IL, 10 grandchildren and a great grandson, step-daughters, Kelley Pocklington and Kaitlynn Pocklington, brothers, Kollas King, Jr. of Girard, IL and Brian Ruebling, Sr. of Hamburg, IL, sister, Kathie King of Hamburg, IL and several nieces and nephews.
