Edna M. Lee, 81, of Waggoner, passed away Tuesday morning, January 22, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
Edna was born on November 18, 1937 to George Edgar and Alice Louise (Ridenhower) McCall in Vienna, IL. She graduated from Vienna High School with the class of 1955.
On April 14, 1956 she married Donald R. Lee at St. John's Lutheran Church in Springfield, IL.
Edna retired as an assembler and a solderer for Dickey-john in Auburn. She had also worked at Franklin Life and for the state of Illinois. Her most rewarding time was being a housewife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and working in her vegetable garden. Edna had a true love of animals, especially horses, and attended many horse shows with her daughters and granddaughters.
Edna is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald; three daughters, Kayona N. Lee of Auxvasse, MO, Kressie L. (Andy) Maricle of Mokena, IL, and Kelleigh S (Roy) Demonbrun of Oakford, IL; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rose Mary (Forrest) Sawlaw of Monticello, IL, and Joyce (Ed) Lloyd of Springfield, IL; brother, Robert (Linda) Brassell of Ooletewha, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, George and Alice McCall; son, Kevin Ray Lee; brother, Allen Lee Porter.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2019, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, IL.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at 11:00 am at the Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, IL, with David Matrisch , officiating.
Inurnment will take place in Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL.
