Obituary of Terry Wayne Schmedeke

Terry W. Schmedeke, 64 of Carlinville, passed away Tuesday morning, August 28, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. Terry was born September 30, 1953, in Litchfield, IL, a son of Louie E. and Mary E. (Volentine) Schmedeke. Terry graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1971 and attended one year of machinist school. He married Bonnie Mullens on July 23, 1977, in Carlinville, IL. After high school, Terry worked for Ketrings in Carlinville until its closing. He then took a position at Olivett in St. Louis, Mo. and retired from LaBarge Inc in St. Louis. Mo. as a machinist. Terry enjoyed hunting mushrooms, fishing and especially his two dogs. He loved spoiling his grandchildren every chance he could get. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Bonnie Sue Schmedeke March 2017, brother, Loren Schmedeke and sister-in-law, Shirley Schmedeke Visitation will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018, from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL.where Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am with Rev. Alan King officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Ridge Cemetery, Carlinville. Terry is survived by his daughters, Jammie (Michael) Gourley, Elizabeth (Jonathan) Thompson and Cindy Schmedeke all of Carrollton, IL, grandchildren; Caleb Gourley, Joseph Thompson, Amya Thompson, Lillian Gourley, sister, Donna Schmedeke of Carlinville, IL, brother, Audy (Mary) Schmedeke of Carlinville, IL and several nieces and nephews.
