We are sorry for your loss. Jim will be remembered by our family in many ways. He taught father and both children in school. He worked with both children in Scholastic Bowl. The children have fond memories of Jim selling ride tickets for the Lions Carnival. He will truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family at this time.
One of my all-time favorite teachers, and one of the most civic-minded people I've ever known - a loss to his family, friends, the teaching profession, and the community. You have my sincere sympathy.

Mr. Fenton was one of my favorite teachers in High School. I loved talking baseball with him after class and in the hallways. He will be missed by the entire Carlinville community as well as his former students.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. I always enjoyed working with Jim and still remember him as my Civics and Econ teacher (I even remember some of the stuff he tried to teach us). He was a great guy and will be sadly missed.
So sorry for your loss..He was an amazing man as well as an amazing teacher... He definitely touched many lives through the school and the lions. He will be sadly missed.
