Obituary of Mary Hobson

Mary Elizabeth Hobson, 65, of Farmersville, passed away Friday afternoon, May 6, 2016 at her residence in Farmersville, IL. Mary was born on August 18, 1950 to Marion and Barbara Suzanne (Smith) Watson in Hillsboro, IL. She graduated from Lincolnwood High School with the class of 1968. On April 18, 1970 she married George Hobson at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Farmersville, IL. Mary loved driving and looking at wildlife, taking vacations, working in her flower garden, and sewing. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mary is survived by her husband George, four sons; Toby (Patti) Hobson of Farmersville, IL, Troy (Tanya) Hobson of Waggoner, IL, Travis (Amanda) Hobson of Waggoner, IL, and Ty (Kassi) Hobson of Waggoner, IL; daughter, Tiffany (Jarrod) Ogden of Raymond, IL; 12 grandchildren; four sisters, Barbara Pope of Waggoner, IL, Maggie (Bob) Rovey of Farmersville, IL, Patti (Allen) Wills of Farmersville, IL, and Monica (Bart) Robinette of Girard, IL; three brothers, Paul (Nicole) Watson of Waggoner, IL, Michael (Barb) Watson of Mechanicsburg, PA, and John (Jodi) Watson of Farmersville, IL; sister-in-law, Bobbie Watson of Divernon, IL; several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by parents, Marion and Barbara Suzanne Watson, and a brother, Joe Watson. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard, IL. A private family graveside service will be held later at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
