Obituary of Rosella Wichman

Rose M. Wichman, 95, of Carlinville, passed away Friday afternoon, December 4, 2015 at Heritage Health Care in Carlinville, IL. Rose was born on November 6, 1920 to William and Ethel (Large) Bridges in Carlinville, IL . On November 18, 1938 she married Herbert Wichman in St. Charles, Missouri. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2008. Rose worked in the produce department for Hoback's IGA and Harmon's IGA for over twenty years. She loved reading and crocheting. Rose is survived by two daughters, Dona (Bob) Castleman of Danville, IL and Marjorie (Charles) Scott of Dallas, TX; two sons, Richard (Sharon) Wichman of Marshall, IL and Don (Trenda) Wichman of Carlinville, IL; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Delay of Springfield, IL and Lucile Bridges of Girard, IL; two brothers, Carl Bridges and Leroy (Juanita) Bridges both of Carlinville, IL; several nieces and nephews. Rosella was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; parents, William and Ethel; daughter, Sheila Watkins;3 brothers and 1 sister. There will be a private burial at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
