Born in St. Louis, MO on October 18, 1917 to Theo and Regina (Werner) Decker. Loving mother to Julie Weller of Carlinville and William Welle of St. Louis, MO.
Preceding in death were her parents; five sisters; husband, William Welle and Ewald Bradvogel and a granddaughter Andrea.
Ellen was active at Grace Lutheran Church in St. Louis where she belonged to the choir and ladies aid. Ellen was also a den mother and volunteered for school lunches. Ellen was head pastry chef in St. Louis for John R. Thompson Co. out of Chicago where she met Ewald Bradvogel and moved to Carlinville and took employment for many years at the Carlinville Area Hospital. Later she was employed by the Carlinville Senior Citizens Center.
Ellen loved to sing, embroider, play cards and work puzzle books, as well as taking tours with the Five Star Club and cruises with her children, grandchildren and sister. Ellen also was a babysitter for several Carlinville families.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie (Sterling deceased) Weller; son, William Welle and a very loving daughter in law; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren and several very loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral Information
A private memorial service will be held at a later date with Rev. Dustin Anderson at the Zion Lutheran Church in Carlinville. Donations Information
