Josie Opal Bolton
90, of South Haven, Mississippi passed away Sunday afternoon, April 10, 2011.
Opal was born August 12, 1920 in Nilwood, the daughter of John and Mae Miller and was married to Robert Melvin Bolton who preceded her in death.
Opal was a farm wife for many years before moving to town. She was a devoted member of the Girard Church of the Brethren and the Eagles. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and had a great passion for her flowers.
Opal is survived by her daughter, Sandra M. Betty (Mardin) of Carlinville; two sons, Robert E. Bolton of Springfield, and Dallas R. Bolton of Byhalia, MS; daughter-in-law, Barbara Bolton; seven grandchildren, Nine great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
Opal is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Forrest and Edgar Miller as well as her son, David Bolton and great grandson Jacob Bolton. Funeral Information
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 13 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home with burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Girard. Donations Information
