Julia Marie Wilson 94, of Girard passed away Thursday morning, August 30, 2012, at Regency Health Center in Springfield, IL. Julia, the oldest of the seven, was born January 11, 1918, in Auburn, IL, the daughter of Otto and Margaret (Buckles) Krueger. She married Carl Bernard Wilson October 4, 1938 in St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Auburn and he passed away October 27, 1994. Julia graduated from Auburn High School. Julia was a homemaker, farmwife and had worked for Dickey-john in Auburn for 10 years. She was a faithful member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and loved to dance with her husband Carl. Surviving are her son, Danny (Carol) Wilson of De Kalb, IL, daughter, Gayle (Mike) Higginson of Girard, granddaughter, Shelley (Ted) Morgan, grandson, Chris Wilson, grandson, Bryce (Beth-Ann) Higginson, granddaughter, Chelsea Higginson, granddaughter, Jacey (Nathan) Swedberg, grandson, Brad (Jenny) Vaupel, 9 great grandchildren, sister, Margaret Miller of Jacksonville, FL and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, infant son Jamie, brothers; Sterling, Bill, and David Krueger and sisters; Bea Kolis and Joann Giordano. Funeral Information Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00, Thursday, September 6, 2012, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 742 West Madison in Girard. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, September 7, 2012 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Rev. Christopher House. Burial will take place in Girard Cemetery. Donations Information Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Girard Fire & Rescue Squad.
