Obituary of Richard Dale Tarr

Richard D. Tarr Richard Dale Tarr, 53, of Carlinville, formerly of Jacksonville, Illinois and Hancock County, Illinois , died Friday, May 29, 2009 at Carlinville Area Hospital. He was born Wednesday, August 31, 1955 in Hampton, Iowa, the son of the late Junior Dale Tarr and the late LaVern Surratt Tarr. He was Security Guard for Allied-Barton, working at the Carlinville mine. Richard was a Boy Scout as a youth. He loved to fish and hunt. He also loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He was dearly loved by his family, and will be missed by all.. Survivors: Companion, Connie Bloyd of Warsaw, Illinois, Sister, Diana Rohlfing of Beardstown, Illinois, Sister, Barbara Garman (Butch) of Jacksonville, Illinois, Sister, Deborah Leake (Gordon) of Holts Summit, Missouri, Sister, Marian "Mary" Smith (Ronnie) of Quincy, Illinois, Sister, Lori Massey (Companion: Rod Dickerson) of Carthage, Illinois, Brother, John Tarr (Companion: Joyce Staehle) of Holts Summit, Missouri, Sister, Tammy McCullough (Charles) of Linn, Missouri, Several Step-Children, Several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by daughter: Karen Tarr. Funeral Information A Memorial Graveside Service will be held at a later date in the Bowen Cemetery, in Bowen, Illinois.
