Obituary of Olga Stinnett

Olga Stinnett 87, of Carlinville, passed away Friday evening November 18, 2011 at St. John's Hospice in Springfield, IL. Olga was born on March 16, 1924 in Benld, IL to Joseph and Rose (Kehart) Zebrun. She graduated from Benld High School in 1942. She attended IL College for two years and graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Commerce. On June 21, 1946, she married Dr. William R. Stinnett in Benld, IL. Olga retired in 1989 from the Carlinville School District where she taught kindergarten for 20 years. She was a member of the Carlinville United Methodist Church, Retired Teachers Association, and Alpha Delta Kappa. Olga loved to read and enjoyed cooking for her family. Survivors include Husband, Dr. William R. Stinnett; Son William R Stinnett Jr., wife Joyce of St. Louis, MO; Daughter Jeanne Hughes, husband Richard W. Jr. of New Orleans, LA. 3 Grandchildren and a Great Granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, William and George Zebrun. Funeral Information Visitation will be held Friday, November 25, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home Carlinville, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011, at 10:00 am. Burial will take place in the Benld Cemetery. Donations Information Memorials are suggested to the Carlinville Area Hospital, Carlinville Library and Carlinville United Methodist Church.
