Obituary of Kathlyn Marie Steinman

Kathlyn "Kathy" Marie Steinman 65, of Carlinville, formerly of Canada, passed away Monday morning, September19, 2011 at her residence. she was born in Toronto, Canada, the daughter of James and Winnifred (Stanyer) Lamb. Kathy married Jim Steinman in Canada on February 12, 1966. Kathy was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, swimming, and her children. The Steinman's were foster parents to over 60 children. Survivors: husband, Jim Steinman; son, Doug Steinman of London, Ontario; son, Ken Steinman of Tiverton, Ontario; son, Ryan Steinman of London, Ontario; daughter, Shawnnae Steinman of Woodstock, Ontario; son, Bill Steinman of Carlinville; son, Dan Duggan of London, Ontario and 13 grandchildren. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Information Visitation will be held Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville. Services will follow at 7:00 pm, September 22, at the funeral home with Rev. John Henry officiating. Scattering of ashes will follow next summer at Bass Lake in Canada.
