Pinky Shinpaugh
Norman F "Pinky". Shinpaugh, 77, of Palmyra, passed away Monday evening, November 14, 2011 at Carlinville Area Hospital.
Pinky was born in Carlinville, IL on June 17, 1934, he was the only child born to J Lynn and Frieda (Humphrey) Shinpaugh. He graduated from Palmyra High School. Pinky retired as a Equipment Technician for the Illinois Air-National Guard in Springfield after 33 years of service.. On June 25, 1960 Pinky married Barb (Brustein) in Carlinville.
He was a member of the Palmyra Christian Church. Pinky was a well known gunsmith at Fishman's Sporting Good Store in Girard. He was admired for his ability to repair triggers.
Norman is survived by his wife Barb, 4 daughters - Norma Terry (Robbin) of Auburn, IL, Kathy Stelle of Palmyra, IL, Lori Baker of Preemption, IL, and Mary Hamel (John) of Carlinville, IL, 7 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren Funeral Information
