Obituary of Gary K. Sandfort

Gary K. Sandfort 73 of Carlinville, passed away Monday morning, August 3, 2015, at Carlinville Area Hospital in Carlinville, IL. Gary was born February 16, 1942, in Kansas City, MO, a son of Robert W. and Stella West Sandfort. He was united in marriage for almost 54 years to Sharon Kincaid. They married November 11, 1961, at the First Assembly of God Church in Carlinville, IL. Gary had worked as a truck driver for Schien's Body and Equipment in Carlinville for several years and retired from R & W Trucking in Michigan after several years of service. Gary enjoyed playing the guitar, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, bass fishing and was an avid reader. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister; Judy McMillen. Gary is survived by his wife, Sharon of Carlinville, IL, sons, J.D. (Kirsten) Sandfort of Coppell, Texas, and Daryl Sandfort of Des Plaines, IL, grandchildren, Weston and Katie Sandfort, sister, Cheryl (Dennis) Bullard of Carlinville, IL, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Family and friends may call Thursday evening, August 6, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 am, Friday,August 7, 2015 at the Carlinville First Assembly of God Church in Carlinville with Rev. Steve Schmidt officiating. His sister Cheryl Bullard will be providing the music. Burial will follow in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Carlinville.
