Steve Rigney
61, of Carlinville, formerly of Girard, passed away Sunday morning, May 20, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
He was born on November 26, 1950 to Willard and Alice (Sargent) Rigney in Springfield, Illinois. Steve worked for the city of Carlinville and as a truck driver for FS until an accident left him disabled.
Steve loved to fish and hunt.
Steve is survived by 3 sons - Jamie Lee Drew (wife, Stephanie) of Springfield, Steve A. Rigney of Palmer, Illinois, Steve "Skeety" Rigney Jr. of Staunton, Illinois; daughter - Micah Hohimer of Springfield, Illinois; 8 grandchildren; 4 brothers - Terry Rigney (wife, Vicki), Roger Molohon (wife, Joan), Joey Molohon (wife, Patsy), and Duane Molohon, all of Girard; 6 sisters - Ida Pierson (husband, Charles) of Divernon, Illinois, Connie King of Cadiz, Kentucky, Ritz Rigney of Carlinville, Diane Black of Girard, Barb Verry of Girard, and Debbie Hogan (husband, Lance) of Girard. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard H. and Alice Mae Rigney, and a daughter, Candy Rigney. Funeral Information
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, 10:30 am at Steve's sister Debbie Hogan's home at 621 W. Bloomington Street in Girard, with Rev. Larry Griffith, officiating. There will be no visitation. Donations Information
