Obituary of Robert L. Randol

Robert "Bob" L. Randol 70, of Carlinville, passed away Sunday evening, July 10, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born Friday, May 30, 1941 in Tower Hill, IL, the son of Karlyle and Lucinda (Brown) Randol Roppa. He married Marilyn J. (Helton) in Shawnee Town, IL on April 2, 1958 and was married for 53 years. Bob had worked for Valley Steel and CISCO Steel in Carlinville, Tubular Steel in Staunton, and retired in 2005 from Kelly Construction in Decatur. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church as well as NRA, Carlinville Rifle & Pistol Club and Black Powder Antioch Mountain Boys. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and loved his wife and family. Survivors: wife, Marilyn J. Randol of Carlinville, daughter, Cathy Randol of Carlinville, son, Randy Randol (JoAnn) of Taylorville, daughter, Cindy Randol (companion Scott McDaniels) of Carlinville, gandson, William Randol of Carlinville, brother, John Randol of Macon, and brother, Jim Randol (Rita) of Macon. He was preceded in death by parents, brothers, Master Sgt. Joseph M. Randol and infant Guy Randol. Funeral Information Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 13, 2011 were funeral services will be afterwards at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Tribble officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lawn Cemetery. Donations Information Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
