Obituary of Sim Harrison Pocklington

Sim Harrison Pocklington 58, of Plainview, passed away Saturday morning, March 30, 2013 at his daughters residence in Girard, IL. Sim was born on August 4, 1954 to Charles Joseph and Anna Lucrittia (Pennel) Pocklington in Carlinville. He married Nancy K. Bible on July 28, 2005 at the Macoupin County Courthouse in Carlinville. Nancy preceded him in death on August 4, 2006. Sim worked as a laborer for Pocklington and Flowers Sanitation. He loved fishing, camping and deer hunting in his spare time.. Sim is survived by 3 daughters, Stacy L. Cagle (Bobby) of Girard, Mary Harbison (Jay) of Divernon, IL and Angela M. Davis (Joshua) of Carlinville; 7 grandchildren; mother, Anna Pocklington of Carlinville; 4 brothers, Charles J. Pocklington, Jr. (Cheryl) of Pekin, IL, Edward Pocklington of Hillsboro, IL, Joseph Pocklington (Sharon) of Standard City, IL and Jimmie Pocklington (Vicke) of Carlinville; 2 sisters, Mary Heinrich of Gillespie and Anna L. Wheaton (Jerry, Sr.) of Virden, IL as well as several nieces and nephews. Sim was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy K. Pocklington and father, Charles J. Pocklington, Sr. Funeral Information Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 10:30 am at the Shipman Cemetery, Shipman, IL, with Rev. Ken Lovely officiating.
