Obituary of Evelyn Lorene Oller

Evelyn Lorene Dilalah Oller 84, of Carlinville, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 8, 2011 at Carlinville Area Hospital. Born April 14, 1927 in rural Williamsville, in Wayne County Missouri, she was the eldest of six daughters born to William Kelly and Mary Frances (Bilbrey) Warren. Her family moved to rural Carlinville when in her teens and she was a resident of Carlinville the rest of her life. She met Lindell Oller while attending the Emanuel Baptist Church in Carlinville, and they eloped to Walnut Ridge Arkansas on March 14, 1949. They later divorced, and he survives. They had two children, Tom and Patty (Oller) Ambrose, both of Carlinville. Mrs. Oller apprenticed in cosmetology under her aunt in E. St. Louis and was a beautician from the age of 15 until she retired in 2006 at the age of 79. She loved to care for her customers, but her life was her family. She lived for her children and grandchildren. Mrs Oller also enjoyed reading and writing poetry. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Oller was preceded in death by her two youngest sisters, Peggy Costello, and Patsy Warren, all of Carlinville. She is survived by her children, Tom Oller, and Patty Ambrose, and her husband David, all of Carlinvlle; grandsons Wade Ambrose, Ian Oller, and Ryan Ambrose, and great granddaughter Riley Ambrose, all of Carlinville; in addition she is survived by three sisters, Inez Nelson, Juanita Bridges and husband Leroy, and Shirley Caudle and husband, Ernie, all of Carlinville. Mrs. Oller is survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at The Village at Moorse Farm in Carlinville. Donations Information Memorials are suggested to donor's choice.
