Obituary of Daniel Anthony Nafziger

Danny Nafziger 18, of Carlinville passed away Sunday April 8, 2012, as a result of an auto accident. Danny was born on October 24, 1993 in Springfield, IL, son of Kevin and Gayle (Fellin) Nafziger. Danny was a Senior with the Class of 2012 at Carlinville High School and was attending Eastern Illinois University this fall. Danny was presently working at Boente Shell in Carlinville and spent his summers working for the City of Carlinville. He enjoyed playing linebacker position during football season. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, trap shooting, dirt bike riding, water and snow skiing and spending time with his family and friends. Danny was a member of Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville. Surviving are his parents, Kevin and Gayle Nafziger; brother, Matt Nafziger at home; grandfather, Don Nafziger of Sun City, AZ; grandparents, Fred & Judy Fellin of Mt. Olive, IL; aunts, uncles, cousins and his girlfriend, Kelsey Seketa. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Erma Nafziger. Funeral Information Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church, 2010 East First South, Carlinville, IL. A prayer service will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev Angel Sierra officiating. Burial will take place in New Calvary Cemetery. Donations Information Memorials may be made to the Danny Nafziger Scholarship Fund for high school educational gifts.
