Obituary of Francisco Mendoza

Francisco "Frank" Mendoza 58, of Girard, passed away Wednesday morning, February 29, 2012 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. Frank was born on October 10, 1953 to Cipriano and Antonia (Farias) Mendoza in Michoacan, Mexico. On November 6, 1982 Frank married Sharon Smith at Boston Chapel Church, rural Girard. Frank worked as a printer for Five Star Printing in Virden for 9 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Virden, enjoyed NASCAR, western movies and loved to cook and garden. Francisco is survived by his wife Sharon of Girard; daughter, Crystal Mendoza of Girard; 4 brothers, Mathew Mendoza of Mabton, WA, Jesus Mendoza of Tacoma, WA, Cuko Mendoza of Seattle, WA, Jose Mendoza of Seattle, WA; 3 sisters, Rosalia Mendoza of Yakima, WA, Eustolia Mendoza of Seattle, WA and Merci Valaquez of San Luis Obispo, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cipriano and Antonia Mendoza, as well as a son Joseph Mendoza. Visitation will be held Monday, March 05, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, IL. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev.
