Obituary of Timothy Christian Link

Timothy C. Link Timothy Christian Link, 31, of Munich, Germany, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio and Carlinville, IL., died Thursday,September 18, 2008 in Munich of meningitis. He was born March 14, 1977 in Springfield, IL, the oldest son of Bill and Elaine (Oller) Link. Tim married the former Stephanie Long on July 27, 2007 at the Cincinnati, Ohio courthouse. Mr. Link was a 1995 graduate of Carlinville High School, and a 1999 graduate of Rose Hulman Institute of Technology with a BS in Chemical Engineering. He also minored in Japanese and Economics. He worked for Baerlocher in Munich, Germany. Tim was a member of the Carlinville United Methodist Church, MENSA, and was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed family, music, Formula One Racing, traveling, math, languages, science, and his cats. Tim is survived by: Wife, Stephanie of Munich, Germany, Parents, Bill and Elaine Link of Carlinville, Two Brothers, Steven Link (companion, Samantha Lawrence) of Carbondale, IL, John Link of Carlinville, Grandparents, Mary and Albert Link of Springfield, IL, and Louise Oller of Williamsville, IL, Mother and Father-In-Law Steve and Jenny Long of Cincinnati, Ohio, Brother-In-Law Nick Long of Colorado. Several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Funeral Information The family will receive friends Friday, October 3rd, from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Carlinville United Methodist Church. No services will be held. Donations Information In lieu of flowers or food, the family requests memorials be made to the John Link Benefit Fund c/o the Carlinville National Bank, to further his brothers' recovery.
