Vera Lawson
age 72 of Girard, passed away, Monday, September 2, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
Vera was born on September 15, 1940 a daughter to Melvin and Vivian (Qualls) King in Carlinville, Illinois.
Vera married Coy E. Witt and they later divorced after having three children. She later married William Lawson and that union also ended in divorce after having one son.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Greg Lawson and grandson Kyle Jenkins.
Vera graduated from Northwestern High School and retired in 2001 after working 20 years for the ARAMARK Uniform Service.
Surviving are her daughters Crystal Witt and Kim (John) Marsh both of Girard, son Kevin (Julie) of Jerseyville, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, brothers Melvin Dale (Judy) King of Carlinville and Jeffrey Kent (Sheila) King of Hettick and a niece. Funeral Information
Private graveside services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013.
Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery in Palmyra, Illinois. Donations Information
