Obituary of Harold Henry Ball

Harold Henry Ball Harold Henry Ball, 86, of Girard, passed away Wednesday evening, January 19, 2011 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. Harold was born Wednesday, October 1, 1924 in Girard, the Son of Lewis and Ruth (Funk) Ball. He was a graduate of Girard High School, class of 1942, and former member of the local 4-H program in Girard. Harold farmed in the Girard area his entire life. He was also a member of the Girard United Methodist Church. Harold loved picking fruit from his own fruit trees, as well as, blackberries, raspberries and strawberries. He also enjoyed reading, especially any farm journal or magazine. Survivors: two sisters, Evelyn Weller (Ronald) of Girard, and Maxine Ball of Litchfield; three Nephews, Keith Weller of New Palestine, IN, Jerry Weller of Wheaton, IL, and Bruce Weller of Silverthorne, CO; five great nephews, one great niece and one great-great niece. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Information Visitation: 9:00 to 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, January 25 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard. Services: 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial: Rovey Cemetery in Farmersville.
