Marguerite Jones
90, of Carlinville, passed away, Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Carlinville Area Hospital.
She was born Thursday, April 8, 1920 in Higbee, Missouri, the daughter of Thomas and Ada (Purdy) Jenkins.
Marguerite married Walter Russell Jones Sr. in St. Charles, MO on December 17, 1939 and he passed away, December 31, 2006.
Marguerite was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Carlinville.
Marguerite enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, cooking reading and spending time with her family.
Survivors: son, Russell Jones Jr. of Carlinville, IL, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sister, Mildred Ingram of Springfield, IL, and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Mary Laverne McDaniels, 2 sisters, and one brother. Funeral Information
Visitation: 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Thursday, February 10 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 11, 2011 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home.
Burial will be next to her husband in Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Carlinville. Donations Information
