Rosalie J. Johnson
82, of Carlinville passed away Tuesday evening, October 14, 2014, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. Rosalie was born May 2, 1932 in Moro, Illinois, a daughter of Edgar and Theresa (Wiseman) Knoche. She married Bud Johnson on December 27, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Rosalie helped Bud on the family farm while raising their family. She also drove a school bus for Carlinville Community Unit District #1 for 30 years. She and Bud enjoyed square dancing.
She is survived by her husband, Bud Johnson; son, Dean I. (Marsha) Johnson of Brighton, Illinois; daughter, Marla (Alan) Justice of Sherman, Illinois; son, Roger D. (Karen Mitch) Johnson of East Alton, Illinois; grandchildren,Kelly Eldred, Kristy Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Katie Ginest, Shawn Simmons, Tyler Simmons, Tony Johnson, Katyann Johnson; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna Picton of Peoria, Illinois and Alberta (Carl ) Schlogl of Savanna, Georgia; brother, Walter (Shirley ) Knoche of Bunker Hill, Illinois; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Knoche, mother, Theresa Knoche, 1 brother, 5 sisters. Funeral Information
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the Chesterfield Community Center in Chesterfield. Donations Information
