Condolences
I just realized the obit on this site is more complete than the one printed in the Carlinville paper, including a list of survivors. My wife and I also graduated from SIU-Carbondale in 1969! Go with God, Gerry!
Gerry was my best friend in the second grade at the North School. We were the two smallest guys in our class, and we had matching denim jackets with fancy riveted designs on them--neat! Gerry always had a terrific sense of humor. I would love to hear from any of his family--no survivors are mentioned in his obit. I am really sorry Gerry is gone. I admire his military service.
Gerry always seemed to have a smile on his face - what a lovely person to be around. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
Sorry we are unable to attend the services. No matter how young or old, no matter how healthy or ill, it is hard to say our 'Good Byes'. Our prayers will be with you, all, during this time.
Deepest sympathy to the entire family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
We were so sorry to hear of Gerry's passing. You are all in our thoughts & prayers.
