Clarence Melvin Hitchcock 70, of Carlinville, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011 at his residence in Carlinville. Clarence was born on March 18, 1941 to Clarence and Mildred (Bourghf) Hitchcock in Gillespie, IL. Clarence worked at Loveless Hog Farm in Gillespie, retiring in 2005. Previously he was a shear operator at Valley Steel in Carlinville, until its closing. He loved music, fishing and playing slot machines. He also enjoyed working on radios and other small electronics. Clarence is survived by two sisters, Viola Krank of Carlinville and Elizabeth Stoner of Gibson City, IL, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert, Richard and Edward Hitchcock, as well as a sister, Helen Johnston. Funeral Information Graveside services will be held at a later date. Donations Information Memorials are suggested to the family and mailed to Davis-Anderson Funeral Home P.O.
