Obituary of Charles Arnett

Charles "Charlie" Arnett 78, of Chesterfield, passed away Thursday evening, December 22, 2011 at his residence in Chesterfield, IL. Charlie was born on August 26, 1933 to William and Mildred (Custer) Arnett in Carlinville. He married Geraldine "Jeannie" Bramley on June 7, 1953 in Chesterfield. Charlie worked at Prairie Farms Dairy in the receiving department and retired in 1991. His true passion was farming and farmed in the Medora area for much of his life. He was also a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Chesterfield. Charlie is survived by his wife, Jeannie; 2 sons, Jerry Arnett (Shirley) of Brighton, IL and Michael Arnett of Fosterburg, IL; daughter, Bonnie Rauzi of Spruce Pine, NC; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Eloise Turner and Sarah Lewis both of Carlinville and a brother, John Arnett (Dorothy) of Carlinville, as well as several nieces and nephews. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, Charles A. and Melvin D. Arnett, a grandson, Chad Arnett; sister, Janet Spoor and brother, William Arnett Jr. Funeral Information Visitation will be held Monday, December 26, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Chesterfield, IL. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Chesterfield, with Rev. Wayne Shipley officiating. Burial will take place in Chesterfield Cemetery. Donations Information Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
