Obituary of Elvin E. Greeley

Elvin E. "Bud" Greeley 69, of Carlinville, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at his residence. Bud was born Thursday, July 3, 1941 in Breese, IL, the son of Elvin E. Greeley Sr. and Dorothy (Sybert) Greeley. Bud married Dorothy E. "Dottie" (Coffey) at the Macoupin County Court House on July 13, 1993. She passed away March 14, 2010. Bud graduated from Troy High School in 1959 and joined the Marines during the Vietnam Conflict. Bud retired from Illinois Power Company in 2003 after 37 years as a lineman. He was a member of the Carlinville Moose Club. Bud enjoyed gardening, outdoors and collecting US Calvary memorabilia. His passion Notre Dame sports. Survivors include, daughters, Tracy Vaughn (Simeon) of Chesterfield, IL, Shelly Wittman of Palmyra, IL, , Tammy Justice (Sean) of Remington, IN and Wendy Farley (Shaun) of Clinton, IL, son, Todd Wellhausen (Kristy) of Girard, IL, 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, wife and sons, Kevin and Kelly Greeley. Funeral Information Visitation: 9:00 to 1100 A.M., Monday, November 29 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, IL. Funeral service: 11:00 A.M., Monday, November 29, 2010 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Charity Cemetery in rural Carlinville.
