Barbara Lee Giberson 75, of Carlinville, passed away Saturday morning, May 26, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born on January 7, 1937 to Gilbert and Amanda (Jones) Bottoms in Princeton, Indiana. Barbara worked for 10 years with the Jersey County Health department as a Home Health Care Aide for several nursing homes. On June 2, 1962 she married Francis E. "Fran" Giberson in Kane, Illinois. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Barbara was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and liked to play bingo. Barbara is survived by her loving spouse of 49 years Fran Giberson; son - Ronald "Ron" Giberson of Jerseyville, Illinois; 3 grandchildren - Heather, Michael, and Patrick; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers - Russell Bottoms of Palmyra, Illinois and Fred Bottoms (companion, Becky) of Franklin, Illinois; 2 sisters - Martha Beaman (husband, Bob) of Nokomis, Illinois and Kathy Bottoms (companion, John) of Ft. Myers Beach, FL; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter - Kimberly Powers; brothers - Jack, Harley, Earl, and Bob Bottoms; sisters - Eva Hunt and Marjorie Houchin. Funeral Information A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
