Albert T. "Swede" Gall Jr.
Albert T. "Swede" Gall Jr. age 83 of Thayer passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008 at his residence. He was born December 9, 1924 in Virden, IL the son of the late Albert T. Gall Sr. and Hannah M. (Evans) Gall.
Albert served in the U.S. Navy as a First Class Seaman during W.W.#2 and was with the first assault at Normandy on Omaha Beach. He later was an electrician for Pillsbury Mills in Springfield for 39 years and retired in 1985. He was a member of Oak Leaf Country Club, Pillsbury 25 year club, Auburn VFW Post #8157, and Virden American Legion Post #386.
Survivors:
Sons: James Lee Gall, (Audrey), Thomas Albert Gall, Wayne Allen Gall and Brian Lee Gall (Tiffany).
Daughters: Lisa Diane Brewer, (Chris) and Dawn Michele Sanson, (Philip)

Sisters: Evelyn Smith, (Harold) and Dolores Allen
Several Nieces & Nephews Funeral Information
Funeral service: Friday, March 14, 2008 11:30 A.M. at the First Christian Church in Girard.
Visitation: Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Burial will be in Virden Cemetery with Military Graveside Rities. Donations Information
In Lieu of flowers you may give donations to Oak Leaf Country Club in memory of Swede.
