Betty V. (Bown) Ennis
77, of Jacksonville, NC passed away Friday, July 19, 2013, at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, NC. She was born August 18, 1935, in Carlinville, IL, a daughter of Elwyn D. Bown and Helen M.(Kessinger) Gaabo. Betty married Eugene H. Ennis on July 17, 1959 in Corpus Christi, TX he passed away in 1995. She was preceded in death by her parents; Elwyn and Helen, husband; Eugene, brother; Bernard Bown, and sisters; Loretta James, Eva Qualls, and Carol Jensvold. Betty graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1953 . Betty proudly served her country in the United States Navy from 1958-1960 , and later on in life worked as a sales clerk for Sears and Belk Department Stores in North Carolina. Betty enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. Funeral Information
Visitation will take place Friday, July 26, 2013 at 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home located in Carlinville, IL.
Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 11:00 am, Friday,July 26, 2013, Davis-Anderson Funeral Home.
Burial will take place at Charity Cemetery, in rural Carlinville. Donations Information
