Obituary of Margaret A. Duncan

Margaret A. Duncan 50, of Carlinville, passed away Saturday afternoon on May 3, 2014 at the Carlinville Area Hospital. She was born on October 2, 1963 to Richard and Agnes (Murphy) Mentel in Springfield, IL. Margaret was a 1982 graduate of Carlinville High School. Margaret worked as the office manager for Catholic Charities in Carlinville. She loved being with her children and granddaughter. Margaret was generous with her time, always willing to help others, especially her family and friends. Her capacity to love one and all was infinite. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Kristine Hart (Dustin) of Carlinville; two sons, John Duncan (Claire) of Denver, CO, James Duncan of Carlinville; granddaughter, Nora Hart; two brothers, Rich Mentel (Ljuba) of Springfield, Matt Mentel (Ruth) of Carlyle; two sisters, Maggie Schaver (Darrell) of Springfield, Lori Mentel (Tom Bell) of New Orleans, LA; father-in-law, Robert Duncan of Carlinville; grandmother-in-law, Gladys Burleson (Howard) of Carlinville; sister-in-law, Lori Schmidt (Mike) of Carlinville; brother-in-law, Dan Duncan (Robin) of Chesterfield, IL; . She was preceded in death by her parents and mother-in-law, Pat Duncan. Funeral Information Visitation will be held at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville on Wednesday, May 7th, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm with a Memorial Service following at 7:00 pm.
