Obituary of Carl E. Cope

Carl E. Cope Carl E. Cope, age 76, of Carlinville, died Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 7:10 P.M. at his residence. Carl was born in Carlinville on September 5, 1931, the son of the late Claude E. and Frances Margaret (Heinkel) Cope. He married Ruby C. Costello on June 1, 1951 at the Presbyterian Church in Greenfield, Illinois. Carl was in the Navy for a short time. He farmed his entire life in the South Otter Township area. Along with his farming, Carl was an owner/operator truck driver, driving over- the-road for several companies. Carl is survived by his wife, Ruby, of Carlinville, a sister, Alma Draper (husband, Bill), of Pinetown, North Carolina, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Visitation will be on Thursday, June 19th, from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. A Private Memorial Service will follow at Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Carlinville.
