Evelyn Sprague Brown age 88 of Algonquin, IL formerly of Girard, IL passed away on Friday, September 12, 2008. She is the daughter of the late Carl Schott and Rose Frey. Evelyn married Neil Sprague on February 1, 1941. He passed away on April 2, 1981. She later married John E. Brown on June 15, 1984. He passed away in December, 2007. Evelyn was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Girard, IL. She worked as a secretary for the Burroughs Adding Machine Company in Springfield. She later worked for Dr. Donald Jessen for 20 years as a receptionist and bookkeeper. Survived by: Children: Scott Sprague wife (Debbie) of Sreamwood, IL, Lamont Sprague wife (Vicki) of Crystal Lake, IL, Pamela Sandberg husband (Richard), Kent Sprague wife Helen of Algonquin, IL. Grandchildren: Kristin Feinstein husband (Jonny), Kara & Kaitlyn Sprague, Lauren, Zachary & Alexis Sprague. 32 Great Grandchildren and sereral Step Great Grandchildren Step-Chilren: Dorothy Bretz of Naperville, IL, Alan Brown wife (Patricia)of Danvers, IL, Sister Rita Mary Brown of Springfield, IL, Carolyn Bodewes husband (Herman) of Springfield, IL, Leon (Duke) Brown of Girard, IL, Joan Jurgena husband (John) of Litchfield IL, Barbara Brown of Ann Arbour MI, John Patrick Brown wife (Mary Jo) of Girard, IL, Jane O'Conner husband (Thomas) of Wataga, IL. Funeral Information Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2008 from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard, IL. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Girard, IL, by the Rev. Dan Spurel. Burial will follow in the Girard Cemetery.
