Obituary of G.W. Van Alstine

G.W. Van Alstine 42 of Carlinville, passed away Thursday morning, May 14, 2015 at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, MO. G.W. was born on August 22, 1972 to Wayne and Phyllis (Tockes) Van Alstine in Peoria, IL. He graduated from Illini Bluffs High School, Glasford, IL in 1990, received his Donald Ducktorate degree from Disney University in 1991, his Bachelors Degree from Illinois College, Jacksonville, IL in 1994 and his Masters Degree from Webster University, Webster Grove, MO. On January 1, 1994 G.W. married Carrie Ann Long in Jacksonville, IL and she survives. G.W. was the Southern Illinois Market Manager for WBGL Radio in Carlinville for 7 years. He was also a professor of business for the University of Phoenix. G.W. is survived by his wife, Carrie Van Alstine of Carlinville; 5 children, Jayden, Gavin, Devin, Lauren and Lincoln Van Alstine all at home; father, Wayne Van Alstine of Mapleton, IL; brother, Gene (Rexa) Frasco of Woodlands, TX and a niece. G.W. was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Van Alstine. Funeral Information Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Cross Church in Carlinville. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 10:30 am at the church with Rev. Tim Rhodus officiating. Burial will be in Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Carlinville, IL.
