Obituary of Jane Traylor

Jane "Millie" Traylor Girard, passed away Wednesday morning, October 29, 2014 at Carlinville Area Hospital in Carlinville, IL. Jane was born on January 12, 1915 to Charles and Muretta (Hall) Brockman in Mt. Olive, IL. She graduated from Springfield High School with the class of 1933. In 1935 Jane married Homer Traylor in Springfield, IL and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1991. Jane was a homemaker and a farm wife, raising 3 children. She also worked and retired from the State of Illinois. Jane was baptized in the Christian faith and enjoyed gardening, avid reader, and enjoyed working with horses. Jane is survived by her daughter, Judith Allen of Girard; two sons, James David Traylor of Girard and Charles Keith Traylor of Springfield, IL; 11 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren and a brother, Charles Brockman of Alabama. Jane was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Bob, Thad, Roy and John Traylor; sisters, Arlie McMasters, Polly Harold and Nannette Wike. Funeral Information Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 11:00 am at the funeral home in Girard with Rev. Victor Angulo, officiating. Burial will take place in the Sulphur Springs Cemetery, rural Atwater.
