Obituary of Anne B. Perkinton

Anne B. Perkinton 96 of Springfield, formerly of Nilwood, passed away Wednesday morning, October 29, 2014 at her residence in Springfield, IL. Anne was born on October 8, 1918 to Henry and Effie (Toll) Martin in Belleview, IL. She married LeRoy Perkinton on May 9, 1940 in Bowling Green, MO and he preceded her in death on December 5, 2011. Anne was a Certified Nurse's Assistant for St. John's Hospital and Doctor's Hospital in Springfield, retiring in 1962. Anne is survived by her son, Richard Perkinton of Springfield, IL; four daughters, Diana Collins of Springfield, IL, Paula Warnke of Carlinville, IL, Donna K. Perkinton of Springfield, IL and Leanne (Tony) Newsome of IN; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Anne was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Henrietta Erixon, Mildred Root, Mary Carolton, Minnie Liggett, Lucille Gant, Lula Chambers, Bertha Harpoole and Dorothy Davis and 2 brothers, Schly Martin and Ervin Martin. Funeral Information Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Ken Lovely officiating Burial will take place in Union Chapel Cemetery, rural Girard.
