David Kenneth Tudor, 84, of Girard, IL, passed away Thursday afternoon, July 2, 2026, at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, FL.
David was born October 5, 1941, in Edwardsville, IL, a son of Kenneth R. Tudor and Helen (Armstrong) Tudor. He graduated from Edwardsville High School with the class of 1958.
After graduating David attended Austin Peay University in Tennessee for two years taking engineering courses before he was sent to Vietnam. He was a radio technician in the Army with the Airborne 101, being discharged honorable at the rank of E-3. David was a man who worked well with technology and after his time spent as a radio technician he worked for Crown 11 Mine. He spent 23 years as an electrical repairman there before retiring in 1996. Soon after his retirement, he was hired as a machinist for Henry Technologies in Chatham, IL and worked there from 1997 until 2004. He was a member of UMWA and the Palmyra American Legion. David loved to fish, golf, and help his friend Greg Kazenski repair boat motors at the farm.
David was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Dennis and Duane Tudor.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
David is survived by his nephew, Kevin Tudor of Melbourne, FL, and great niece, Amelia Tudor.
Memorials may be made to Palmyra American Legion.
