Obituary of Diana M. Joiner

Diana Marie Joiner, 73, of Carlinville, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at her residence in Carlinville, IL. She was born January 19th, 1953, in Carlinville, IL, the daughter of Ernest Lee Dunn and Stella Marie Bethel Dey. She graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1971. She married the late Gregory Wayne Joiner on September 2nd, 1972, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Carlinville, IL. Diana attended nursing school, where she received her LPN and worked as a nurse for several years before starting her family. She was a dedicated farm wife who spent many hours working alongside her husband on the family farm. After her children were grown, she went to work at US Bank until her retirement. She was a member of The Thursday afternoon ladies bowling league. She also enjoyed making anything and everything in the kitchen. She was most proud of all her grandchildren. She followed them everywhere, cheering them on in all their activities. Per Diana's wishes, there will be no service. Diana is survived by her son, Gregory (Vicki) Joiner II of Carlinville, IL, daughter, Tracey (Ken) Czajkowski of Decatur, IL, son, Michael (Denise) Joiner of Carlinville, IL, five grandchildren, Anthony (fiancee Ally), Saralynn, and Carter Joiner of Carlinville, IL, Katie and Drew Czajkowski of Decatur, IL, and sister-in-law, Judy Joiner of Carlinville, IL. Diana was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two brothers. Memorials may be made to Macoupin County Animal Shelter. Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville is in charge of arrangements.
